Hennessey adds wrestling programs

It has been discussed for the past two years but now Hennessey will start a wrestling program. That’s according to the list of coaching assignments made by the school board after a two hour executive session during their Monday, July 12 meeting.

County takes next step to relocate HD

The county is moving forward with the purchase of a building that will serve as the new home of the Kingfisher County Health Department, but possibly at a renegotiated price. Kingfisher County commissioners on Monday unanimously approved the inspection of the building, which is located at 421 W.

Free vaccinations, sports physicals offered Friday at Hennessey schools

No appointment is needed for anyone ages 12 and up to get a free Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine in Hennessey Friday, July 23, from 10 a.m. until noon. The shots are offered by the Hennessey Public Schools and will be given in the seminar room at the school auditorium at 213 N. Walnut.

Self care is topic of workshop

Garfield County OSU Cooperative Extension Family and Consumer Science Educator Joy Rhodes will be presenting a lesson in Kingfisher later this month. The topic will be “Taking Time for You.” The lesson is 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 28, at the Kingfisher County Extension Office.
