Sanchez to join KPS board in April

Mike Copeland was all set to turn in his declaration of candidacy to run for a spot on the Kingfisher Board of Education.Then walked in Alberto Sanchez.After the two talked, Copeland said he felt the board would be in excellent hands with Sanchez taking his seat.So Copeland didn’t file.

•ADVENT AUCTION: Federated Church in Kingfisher is hosting its annual advent auction. It is 5 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 7, at the church, 400 W. Fay Ave. The auction will include home decor, homemade foods and more. Money raised from the auction will be donated to charities.

Local traffic accidents

The following traffic accidents are being investigated by the Kingfisher Police Department: October 10, 12:26 p.m. - At East Admire Avenue.Sherry Farrar, 67, Kingfi sher, driving a 2022 Ford F-150, was parked in a northwest direction in the 100 block of East Admire Avenue.

County opens 29 bids for 2026 road work

Kingfisher County commissioners opened 29 bids Monday from companies seeking to provide materials for road construction work or do work on county roads during the first six months of the 2026 calendar year.

Correction

There are five “voting members” on the board of Oklahoma Commissioners of the Land Office. However, only three members were listed in their meeting minutes received by the KT&FP. Those were the only board members listed in our Sunday, Nov.

Farmerettes meet, elect new officers

The Hennessey Farmerettes met Nov. 13 at the First Christian Church with 10 members present.Prior to the meeting, members decorated cards and wrote thank-you messages to be presented to veterans in appreciation for their services.
