KHS holds Veterans Day program

Kingfisher High School’s Student Countil presented a Veterans Day program last Tuesday to honor those locally who served in the U.S. military.

Six Kingfisher High School seniors were guests recently at a meeting of the Kingfisher Rotary Club.Joining the local civic group were Mauricio Valles, Reese Roof, Jhett Birdwell, Luciano Orozco, Shelby Davis and TJ Washington.Valles is the son of Eleazar and Sandra Valles.

Early voting starts Thursday

Early voting begins this Thursday, Nov. 13, for the halfcent sales tax extension proposed by Kingfisher County.The sales tax funds a number of county services and has been in place since 1991.If approved, it will extend it for another five years. Election day for that sales tax is Tuesday, Nov. 18.
