Chip and seal bids tabled

Kingfisher County commissioners opened bids on two projects Monday and then tabled action on both to allow closer inspection.Two bids were opened on chip and seal work in all three districts, one from Circle Seal Paving of Goddard, Kan., and the other from Zyzer Asphalt and Chip Seal of Kingfisher.

Finley, Evans are Junior Lions

Kingfisher High School seniors Josh Finley and Harper Evans are the September 2025 Junior Lions.The two were guests at a recent meeting of the Kingfi sher Lions Club.Finley is the son of Kurt and Morgan Finley.

Plans being finalized for Wine & Chocolate Festival

There are already nine wine, nine chocolate and two others who have signed up for tables at Hennessey United’s Wine & Chocolate Festival. The event will run from 11 a.m. until 5 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 4, at Memorial Park on North Main Street.

Excise board passes KPS estimate of needs

With much less fanfare than a year ago, the Kingfisher County Excise Board voted last Wednesday to pass the estimate of needs for Kingfisher Public Schools.

Kingfisher County Court Clerk Lauren Stroh issued marriage licenses recently to the following couples: September 8: Dalton Walker Joyce, 24, and Hannah Lee Gray, 21, both of Kingfisher.September 9: Joseph Dewayne Prince, 31, and Taryn Gayle Gavitt, 28, both of Cashion.

New arrival

Veronica and Jared Campbell of Helena announce the birth of their daughter, Bonnie Renae Campbell.Bonnie was born Wednesday, Aug. 20, 2025, in Enid.She weighed 7 pounds, 8.9 ounces and measured 20 3/4 inches.She has three siblings: Ellie, 6; Hazel, 3; and Lucy, 2.
