?? Tom Birkes, 89, Kingfisher, passed away in the early morning hours of Jan. 28, 2019, at Mercy Hospice. Tom was born May 18, 1929, in Tulsa Oklahoma to Mattie and Fred Birkes. Tom grew up in Dover.

Fred Uhlenhake

?? Fred William Uhlenhake was born July 27, 1928, to Frank and Augusta Uhlenhake (Unverzagt) and passed away Saturday, Feb. 9, 2019, at Mercy Hospital in Oklahoma City. He grew up in Kingfisher and attended Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic School.

Bryon Gholson

Bryon Lee Gholson, 53, was ushered into the presence of his Savior, Jesus Christ, on Feb. 6, 2019, after valiantly battling throat cancer.   Bryon was born in Kingfisher on Feb. 7, 1965, to Eugene and Carrie Gholson.

Richard ‘Gene’ Gaither

?? Richard Eugene “Gene” Gaither, 86, Kingfisher, went home to be with our Lord on Feb. 4, 2019. Gene was born Nov. 5, 1932, in Spearman, Texas, to Clyde Oxford and Elizabeth Lois Gaither. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy at the age of 17 (he may have misled the recruitment office of his age).

Tracy Crum

Tracy Ann Crum was born June 1, 1972, and died Jan. 31, 2019, with her family by her side. She was 46. She married Greg Crum on April 22, 2005.

Blanche Foster

Graveside services for Blanche Foster, 91, Hennessey, were Monday, Feb. 4, at Hennessey Cemetery Pavilion officiated by Merle Patzkowski. Arrangements were by Cordry-Gritz Funeral Home. Blanche was born in Kendrick on May 3, 1927, to Guy and Virgie Gray Herd and died Thursday, Jan.

Albert ‘Al’ Post

Albert Weert (Al) Post, a longtime member of the Kingfisher community, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Feb. 2, 2019. He was born near Okarche on Aug. 23, 1929, to W.B. (Bill) and Sarah Gleichman Post. Albert was a lifelong member of the Lutheran church.

Douglas ‘Doug’ Fisher

Douglas “Doug” Kent Fisher, 72, was ushered into the presence of his Savior, Jesus Christ, on Jan. 16, 2019, after valiantly battling heart disease. His faith in God, love for his family, and determination to travel with his RV friends helped him persevere and have peace while enduring his illness.

Elizabeth ‘Betty’ Hauser

Elizabeth Lou “Betty” Hauser was born May 20, 1931, to Ernest and Elsie (Staude) Hauser in Loyal. She moved to her eternal home Jan. 31, 2019. Betty was raised on the family farm southwest of Loyal and graduated from Loyal High School.
