Helen Margaret Smith went to be with her Lord and Savior peacefully on March 14, 2023, at the age of 98 in El Reno.She was born near Okarche on Aug. 31, 1924.She grew up on a farm west of Okarche, the second oldest of 11 children of John and Mildred (Higdon) Hufnagel.

James Francis O’Brien, 83, of Kingfisher, passed away Saturday, March 11, 2023, in Oklahoma City.He was born July 28, 1939, in Kingfisher.Funeral services were 10:30 a.m. Thursday, March 16, at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church.

Lindsay Nicole Leedy was born May 5, 1983, to Harry (Button) Leedy and Sandy Butler.She lost her battle against cancer on Feb. 26, 2023, at the age of 39.Lindsay graduated from Kingfisher High School in 2001.

Paul Joseph Biller passed from this life on his 95th birthday, Feb. 26, 2023. The time has come to mourn his passing and celebrate his long and beautiful life.Paul was born Feb. 26, 1928, the fifth child and second son of Lizzie and Otto “Tobe” Biller.

Sandy Thomas saw her Lord face to face on Feb. 15, 2023, at the age of 79.Sandra Jean was born Dec. 12, 1943, on the 31st wedding anniversary of her grandparents Herman and Emilie (Meyer) Schroeder in El Reno.

Janice Louise Weigel Westphal was born March 30, 1931, to Archie and Clara Weigel in Platteville, Wisc.She passed away Feb. 17, 2023, in Kingfisher, at Homestead Assisted Living Center.Janice attended elementary, middle, high school and college in Platteville, Wisc.

Evelyn Arlene Bowers, 84, of Kingfisher, passed away peacefully Feb. 15, 2023, after an 11-month battle with cancer.She was surrounded by several family members at the time of her death.Evelyn was born in Catoosa to Jess and Marie Clark.

Services for Edward F. “Tex” Powers, 90, were Saturday, Feb. 18, at Hennessey Cemetery Pavilion officiated by Wesley Phillips. Arrangements were by Cordry-Gritz Funeral Home. Edward was born at Sedalia, Mo., on Jan. 2, 1933, to Loren and Rhetta Powers and died Tuesday, Feb.

Robert “Bob” Maxwell Morris was born Nov. 16, 1939, in El Reno to John William and Ethel (Folsom) Morris.He passed away Feb. 10, 2023, in Hydro at the age of 83.Bob grew up in El Reno and lived most of his life in Oklahoma.He married Onie Viola “Bid” Ward on April 23, 1980.

Roy Dean Henderson was born June 22, 1961, in Ardmore to Roy and Clara Henderson.He passed away Feb. 9, 2023, in Kingfisher at the age of 61. Roy grew up in Marietta and joined the United States Navy in 1981. He later began working in the oilfield and worked as a welder and later drove trucks.
