County teams have a couple of weeks of practices under their belts.

Soon, they get to practice against someone other than teammates.

The first rounds of scrimmages for high school teams is this week.

Kingfisher will head west to Weatherford on Friday take on a team it has played during the regular season the last several years.

The scrimmage begins at 6 p.m. and will include Altus.

Hennessey will make the trip to Watonga for a scrimmage that also starts at 6 p.m. Friday.

Cashion is getting a head start.

The Wildcats are hosting Morrison on Thursday at 7 p.m.

However, the team is hosting its annual watermelon feed beginning at 6 p.m.
