Scout Snodgrass made a couple of trips to the medal stand last weekend as Kingfisher High School wrapped up the track and field season.The Lady Jackets tied for 18th with 16 points at the Class 4A meet held Friday and Saturday at Ardmore High School.

While Cashion was able to play its baseball regional at home on Thursday, other local sports weren’t as fortunate.Kingfisher’s Class 4A baseball regional at Tuttle was postponed for a day.The Jackets were set to play Marlow to open the regional Friday afternoon (after press time).

A big benefit of Cashion’s synthetic turf baseball field?It can handle a couple bouts of rainfall and still be playable.That was the case Thursday as the Wildcats were one of few locales in the area still able to host an event after rain pushed its way through the state.
