The Okarche High School speech department’s production of “Kindertransport” by Diane Samuels has advanced to the state finals in the OSSAA one-act play competition. OHS’s play placed second behind Alva in the Class 4A Division 1 regional contest held recently.

The University of Central Oklahoma College of Education and Professional Studies recently awarded Kingfisher resident Sydney Werner two scholarships for the upcoming fall and spring semesters in recognition of her academic achievements and outstanding service to the university.

Dover High School’s Claire Barker and Watonga High School’s Kerby Easter were named the 2020-21 Chisholm Trail Technology Students of the Year. Barker is the daughter of Clay and Charlotte Barker and is a part of CTTC’s Digital Technologies program.
