“President Biden” is planning to release his socalled guidelines on gun control, I find it ironic; all of a sudden, there’s so-called mass shootings. Then Biden starts calling for stricter regulations. It sure makes a person wonder if these shootings aren’t planned.

A constitutional attorney’s forensic audit of the 2020 election in Michigan found that more than 66,000 unregistered ballots were counted. The audit conducted by Matthew DePerno covered just 9 of Michigan’s 83 counties.

Hennessey Board of Trustees learned that Cummins Construction Co., Enid, won the contract to resurface and widen State Highway 51 east of Hennessey.

The walking trail on the second story of Hennessey Event Center (The Dome) will be available to patrons Monday-Friday and include morning, noon and evening hours, said Superintendent Dr. Mike Woods. New hours that went into effect Thursday are: Mondays: 6-8 a.m., 11:27 a.m.-12:20 p.m.

Kingfisher FFA’s ag issues team made a presentation last week to the Kingfisher Lions Club. Members discussed the pros and cons of “super meats,” which are grown directly from cells in labs.

The 2021 John A. Francis Scholarship has been awarded to Kingfisher’s Madeline Loosen. The $1,000 scholarship is awarded annually by the Kingfisher Rotary Club to assist a current college student with qualified educational expenses.

Deadline for online enrollment at Hennessey Public Schools is May 1 for 2021-22 students. The early deadline is necessary this year to get a more accurate count of the number of students can be expected, posted Renee Curry on the school’s website.
