HD reports 2 more county deaths

Kingfisher County’s official tally of COVID-19 related deaths climbed to 12 for 2020 in the Oklahoma State Department of Health’s last situation update of the year. OSDH data Thursday showed two additional deaths reported for the county, a female in the over 65 age group and a male aged 50-64.

Rain Tuesday; could more snow be next?

Tuesday night’s rain dumped up to 1.8 inches of moisture across Kingfisher County. The National Weather Service predicted ice and snow for the county beginning at noon Thursday and continuing until noon Friday. Kingfisher Weather Observer Steve Loftis recorded 1.

Cashion Wildcats’ loyalty impressive

A state championship is something every high school athlete aspires to. The dream came true for the Cashion Wildcats in 2020 with a 34-7 victory over Thomas in the state finals, after coming ever so close in 2019 when they dropped a hardfought, 20-14, decision to Ringling in the championship game.

Good neighbors are to be cherished

We have mentioned before that we have great neighbors. We were reminded of this again after the October ice storm that tore up so many trees. The morning after the ice storm, we were out in the front yard trying to clean up the downed tree limbs using a chain saw.
