County FSA now accepting applications for CFAP 2

Signup for the Coronavirus Food Assistance Program 2 (CFAP 2) began on Sept. 21, 2020 and will continue through Dec. 11, 2020. CFAP 2 provides eligible producers with direct financial assistance due to market disruptions and associated costs because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Loyal FD reports improved fire rating following recent ISO audit

Loyal Fire Chief Richard Meyer reports good news in his department’s latest office by the Insurance Services Office (ISO) audit. The audit resulted in The audit resulted in a fire insurance rating of “3” for hydrant areas and “4” in non-hydrant areas serviced by the Loyal Fire Department.

Timothy Allan Moroney, 61, of Kingfisher, went home to be with his Lord on Oct. 17, 2020, peacefully in his sleep. Tim was born in Kansas City, Kan., on Jan. 2, 1959, where he lived until sixth grade when his family moved to Ponca City.

Fern Storm

Fern Lucille Storm was born to John and Sadie Christians on Aug. 8, 1933, in Champagne, Ill. She passed from this life She passed from this life Oct. 15, 2020, in Kingfisher. Fern’s family moved to Kingfisher where she attended Big Four School and graduated Kingfisher High School in 1951.
