Taylor, Daugherty are October Junior Lions

Kingfisher Lions Club was host to a pair of distinguished seniors last Thursday. Kingfisher High School’s Cora Beth Taylor and Ian Daugherty were named the October 2020 Junior Lions and were guests of the civic club at its weekly meeting. Taylor is the daughter of Kevin and Beth Taylor.

Harris updates Altrua Club on planned renovation

The Altrua Club met Sept. 16, at the Chisholm Trail Museum. Members present were Keri Bivins, Carolyn Flood, Dana Golbek, Jneanne Kadavy, Jeanette Kloeppel, Terri Peck, Sue Robinson, Jowanna Sisk, Cheryl Wheelbarger and Dorothy Whitaker.

Farmerettes elect officers

The Hennessey Farmerette Extension Club held its October meeting Oct. 8 at the First Christian Church in Hennessey. The meeting was called to order by Vice President Lillie Rourke, who led the flag salute. The devotion, “Devotion Day of Encouragement,” was given by Mary Curry.

Hannah and Adam Post of Chandler announce the birth of their son, Lincoln Ray. Lincoln was born on Tuesday, Aug. 4, 2020, in Edmond. He weighed 8 pounds 1 ounce and measured 21 inches. Maternal grandparents are Lynn and Desmond Barnett of Kingfisher.
