Crescent runs all over Watonga, 35-6

Winless Watonga wasn’t supposed to give Crescent much of a game in their Week 7 matchup. And it didn’t. Crescent dominated virtually every aspect of the game Thursday night to defeat the visiting Eagles 35-6. The victory improved the Tigers’ record to 5-1 overall and 2-1 in District A-3.

Junior high teams cap season with losses at Weatherford

For the second time this season, Kingfisher’s seventh grade football team suffered defeat in overtime. Weatherford scored on the second play of its overtime possession Monday to pull out a 22-16 victory over the visiting Jackets. The loss ended the seventh graders’ season at 3-5.

HPS patrons search for answers

Parents were irritated when they learned it’s unknown when fencing, door alarms and more cameras would be installed at the Hennessey Early Childhood Center. “What’s the timeline on the fencing?” asked Chandra Seiger, a parent and a regular at board meetings.

Almost time to detour again

Oklahoma Department of Transportation is urging motorists to start planning now to locate an alternate route for a full closure of eastbound and westbound State Highway 33 between Sixth and Second streets in Kingfisher.

Lomega students and staff all returned to school Monday for the first time since Sept. 24. “We’re all back and in full swing,” said Superintendent Steve Shiever.

State ed board demands Epic repay $11.2 million
