A Hennessey reader, Kelly Walterscheidt, brought us a “letter to the editor” that ran 100 years ago in the Hennessey Clipper. The letter was written April 1, 1920, by Walterscheidt’s great-great-grandfather J.W. House, who took part in the Land Run.

Barnett, Storm earn OBU scholarships

Two Kingfisher residents were recently awarded academic scholarships by Oklahoma Baptist University for the 2020-21 academic year. They include Emma Barnett and Lydia Storm. Barnett and Storm received the Trustees’ Academic Scholarship.

Bull Foot Pond Repairs In Hennessey

David Fuksa’s Grade Work Construction Co. crew took advantage of the good weather Wednesday and worked to repair a leak in the concrete wall on the west side of the walking trail at Hennessey’s Bull Foot Park on south U.S. 81. The repair quote was $42,816 and approved by the town board in January.
