Surprise Club members hold February meeting

“Planning Your Funeral” was the lesson presented to the Surprise Extension Homemakers when members met Feb. 13 in the home of Pansy Wheeler. “We discussed the myriad of questions required to be answered either now by ourselves or at the time of death by the family,” said Wheeler, club reporter.

Jean Stribel hosts Hennessey Farmerettes’ February meeting

The Hennessey Farmerettes OHCE met Feb. 13 in the home of Jean Stribel for a salad luncheon and meeting. Following the special luncheon, the meeting was opened by Billie Melendy, president. Lilly Rourke led the flag salute and the devotion, “True Peace,” was given by Mary Curry.

‘Laugh’ at next leader lesson

Kingfisher County Extension has a leader lesson planned this week on “The Benefits of Laughter.” The lesson will be from 10-11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 26, at the Extension office.

KHS seniors visit Rotary Club

Kingfisher Rotary Club was host to four Kingfisher High School seniors during a recent meeting. Joining the civic group at a Tuesday luncheon were Ashtin Witt, Elizabeth Rutherford, Taylor Watkins and Karen De La Torre. Witt is the daughter of Wade and Kellee Witt.
