Jackets grapplers 3rd at KHS tournament

Two Yellowjackets won individual crowns and the team managed third place overall at last weekend’s Kingfisher High School Wrestling Tournament. Seniors Jon Henry won at 138 and Blake Neal at 182 to help KHS to 141 team points.

KHS grabs pair of road wins at Elk City

A two-game win streak and a winning record grace the Christmas stockings of the Kingfisher girls basketball team. The Lady Jackets outscored Elk City in each quarter last Friday night to earn a 55-41 road win to close out their pre-holiday schedule. KHS goes into the break with a 3-2 record.

Cashion basketball sends Morrison home without a win

Cashion handed Morrison its most lopsided loss of the season and will start the new year with an unblemished record. The Wildcats moved to 5-0 Friday with a 67-41 dismantling of Morrison at home. Morrison entered the game 3-2 with the losses coming by a combined two points.

Okarche sweeps PC-H

After suffering three straight losses, the Okarche boys basketball team can go into the Christmas holiday on a positive note. Despite struggling from long range and at the free throw line, the Warriors overcamePondCreek-Hunter for a 60-51 home victory last Friday night.
