Dover swept at home by Waukomis

Dover had no answer for Cooper Wieden and Jasper Carter and that spelled the Longhorns’ fourth loss of the season. The Waukomis duo combined for 46 points as the Chiefs beat the Longhorns 65-50 Tuesday night in Dover. The pair scored 18 points as Waukomis got out to a 26-12 lead.

Balanced freshmen pull away

A balanced attack and some sharp outside shooting gave Kingfi sher’s freshman boys basketball team a solid win in its season opener. The Jackets erased an early seven-point defi cit to dominate the middle two quarters and cruise last Monday to a 59-43 victory over Blanchard at the APB.

There’s a saying going around that the United States government violated all the treaties with the tribes. The government, on the advice of some do-gooders, tried to destroy the Indians and their heritage. The tribes are trying to turn this around, teaching the native language and opening museums.
