Commissioners sign agreement to replace bridge

Kingfisher County commissioners entered into an agreement with the Oklahoma Department of Transportation for the construction of a bridge over Turkey Creek on EW 670 Road. District 2 Commissioner Ray Alan Shimanek said the agreement was a preliminary step to replace a structure 4.

Dover’s Butler earns $1,000 scholarship to UCO

Dover High School sent seven freshmen to the University of Oklahoma Leadership Academy last Tuesday. The academy provides activities and training experiences that develop and enhance leadership abilities.

CHS is Game Day state runner-up

Cashion High School cheer repeated Saturday as state runner-up of the OSSAA’s Class 2A Game Day state competition. For the second straight year, Cashion finished behind Turpin. Cashion was fourth after the preliminary round which included categories for fight song, crowd leading and band dance.

Lomega opens roundball season with Dover sweep

The points came in droves for Lomega as it opened the 2019-20 season last Friday night. The Lady Raiders scored nearly at will through three quarters as they nabbed an 84-33 road win at Dover.

KHS playoff spot secured

Kingfisher pushed its run to two full decades of consecutive playoff appearances with its most recent win. Cade Stephenson accounted for six touchdowns and Mount St. Mary provided almost no resistance as KHS rattled off a 61-0 victory in front of a Senior Night crowd.
