Jeannine Hansens, 90, passed this life Wednesday, Oct. 16, 2019, at Cimarron Nursing Center. Jeannine was born Jan. 16, 1929, in Kingfisher to Elmer and Violet Stringer. She married Ralph “Butch” Hansens on Sept. 4, 1949, and became a farmer’s wife and homemaker.

Beverly Hubbard, 83, of Kingfisher, passed away Friday, Oct. 18, 2019. Memorial services are pending.

Former county ag teacher is charged

Former Kingfisher and Hennessey ag teacher and current Ripley Public School superintendent Kenneth Beams was charged in Tulsa County District Court with engaging in prostitution.Beams, 64, was arrested Oct.

Sanders, Palmer are Junior Lions

Kingfisher Lions Club has announced its Junior Lions for October 2019. Earning the honor were Kingfisher High School seniors Sarah Sanders and Matthew Palmer. Sanders is the daughter of Mike and Lisa Sanders.

Dover carnival is Saturday

The annual Dover School Carnival is this Saturday, Oct. 26. It includes dinner, carnival games, Bingo and a drawing for prizes. The junior class will be serving a chicken and noodle dinner from 5-6:30 p.m. in the elementary gym. The coronation will begin at 6:30 p.m. in the elementary gym.
