Dale Cameron, 77, passed away Sunday, Sept. 1, 2019, in Kingfisher. His funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 5, at First Christian Church of Hennessey. Burial will follow at Hennessey Cemetery under the direction of Cordry Gritz Funeral Home.

Bradley Schoelen

Bradley Allen Schoelen, known to friends and family as “Stretch,” died Saturday, Aug. 31, 2019. He was 46 years old. Brad was a jack of all trades and loved construction, oilfield work and his time driving a semi-truck across the country.

Wilma Weber of Dover died Monday, Sept. 2, 2019, at the age of 86. A musical memorial will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 6, at Central Baptist Church of Crescent.

Local man dies from apparently self-inflicted gun injury

A 46-year-old Kingfisher man was pronounced dead at his home from an apparently self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head Saturday afternoon.The body of Bradley Allen Schoelen was found at his home at 12058 E. 770 Road about 4:10 p.m.

XC teams off and running

For the first time in the program’s history, the Kingfisher High School girls cross country team opened a season as a reigning state champion. That came last Saturday when the Lady Jackets finished fourth at the Watonga Cross Country Invitational.

Tigers run past Woodland
