Kingfisher County’s estimate of needs for the 2019-20 fiscal year totals $17,161,762.18, according to the publication of the county’s financial statement last week.
The county’s solid financial status is revealed in the $12,082,106.67 cash fund balance carried over from last fiscal year.
A Kingfisher teenager, Koby William Leblanc, 18, has been charged with murder and first degree burglary in Oklahoma County District Court.
Leblanc, who is charged in a case in which officials say a burglary victim was shot three times and his wallet stolen Feb. 12.

Fifty- nine descendants and guests of Chas Wehrenberg gathered at the Loyal United Methodist Church on July 27 for a reunion.
The Wehrenberg family settled in Indian Territory in 1901 near the town of Loyal, which was then known as Kiel.

Oklahoma Blood Institute will hold a Bigfoot-themed blood drive with Kingfisher High School on Wednesday, Aug. 28.
The blood drive will be from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 1500 S. 13th St. Each blood donor will receive a limited edition Bigfoot t-shirt.
