Paving job goes to lowest bidder

Kingfisher County commissioners approved the low bid of T.J. Campbell Construction of Oklahoma City to provide asphalt overlay work on county roads this summer.The move was made Monday during the commissioners’ weekly meeting.

Wood makes Dover history

Dover junior Sam Wood officially punched his ticket to the Class 2A state golf tournament, but had to sweat it out as other golfers finished up their second round.Wood followed his opening-round 75 with a 76 at Idabel Country Club early Wednesday evening to finish at 11-over-par 151 for the day.

Luke Hill and Easton Roby played big roles in Okarche’s ability to advance in the Class A-I state baseball tournament. The Warriors downed No. 4 Ripley 6-1 on Thursday in the quarterfi nals at Oklahoma Christian University.
