Hennessey town board approves purchase of ambulance, police car

Hennessey will soon replace its 10-year-old No. 1 ambulance with a 2017 model and also replace a 2014 Ford Explorer police vehicle, dubbed a lemon, with a 2019 Ford SUV. The new ambulance cost is $81,000 and has a three-year warranty from Emergency Service Supply out of Jefferson City.

Hennessey enrollment next week

The start of school is two weeks away for some county students. That includes Hennessey, which has enrollment next week. Enrollment is 9 a.m.-7 p.m. Thursday, July 25, at the elementary school gym.

64th annual SWOSU band camp

Southwestern Oklahoma State University’s 64th annual band camp recently attracted 439 students from four states to the Weatherford campus for Oklahoma’s oldest and longest-running band camp.
