Hennessey pool opens May 2020

Construction on Hennessey’s new municipal swimming pool is scheduled to start in August with a planned grand opening May 23 next year.That’s according to a timeline schedule given to the town board Monday night from Carrothers Construction Co. The Paola, Kan. company was awarded the bid in February.

Murder case preliminary rescheduled

A preliminary hearing on a first-degree murder charge against Steven Kirtus Stricker was postponed Tuesday in Kingfisher County District Court at the request of the district attorney’s office.
