Anne Katherine Wittrock Coffey passed away peacefully with her family at her side on June 4, 2019, after a sudden illness. Anne was born Jan. 5, 1938, to Paul and Kathrine Alig Wittrock and was the oldest of their five children.

Kenneth ‘Kenny’ Stoner

Kenneth “Kenny” Eugene Stoner of Okarche was born Dec. 25, 1980, in Honolulu, Hawaii, and departed this life Tuesday, June 4, 2019, at the age of 38. Kenny grew up in the Oklahoma City area. After graduating from Putnam City West High School, he attended Vatterott College.

Rose Cook

Rose Katherine Cook passed away June 2, 2019. Rose was born in El Reno on Jan. 21, 1943, to Cletus and Loretta Wittrock. She graduated high school in 1961 from Holy Trinity in Okarche and later married Carl on Christmas Eve 1969.

Kingfisher, Hennessey, Dover and Loyal had larger sales tax checks for May. The Oklahoma Tax Commission, which handles collections of sales tax for cities, towns and counties as well as for the state of Oklahoma, provided the data for the May report.

KPS board talks building plans

Major changes were made in plans for a new seventh and eighth grade center for Kingfisher during a recent collaborative session. On Monday at its regular June meeting, the Kingfisher Board of Education got its first detailed look at the changes and potential design plans.
