Laurnell Eleice (Meyer) Lenz was born Nov. 29, 1930, and went to be with the Lord on Dec. 9, 2025.She was a devoted mother and grandmother and sister and friend to many. She grew up on a farm two miles east and one-quarter south of Okarche.Laurnell was a lifelong member of the Lutheran Church.

Yellowjackets dominate after slow start

Lomega’s Fisher to throw for SWOSU

Lomega senior Kinsley Fisher signed on Wednesday to continue her track and field career at Southwestern Oklahoma State University. Fisher signed during a ceremony at the high school in front of family, coaches and classmates.

Lady Raiders hang 100 on OBA in runaway win

A year ago, Oklahoma Bible Academy handed Lomega its first loss of the season and held the Lady Raiders to an unfathomable 30 points.That OBA team went on to win the Class 2A state championship.This isn’t that team and this wasn’t last year.

KHS names November Students of the Month

Kingfisher High School has named its Students of the Month for November 2025. Students are chosen based on many characteristics including responsibility, leadership, work ethic, reliability, kindness and more.

Hennessey preps to oppose permits for waste dumps

Oklahoma Energy Advisors PLLC and attorney Michael S. Booze were unanimously hired to represent the town of Hennessey in its objection to state permit applications for a waste management plant near the town.
