Bids opened for Omega FD brush truck install

Four companies submitted bids on a brush truck installation for Omega Fire Department were opened Monday at Kingfisher County commissioners weekly meeting.Bids ranged from $124,350 to $214,000.They included:• Myder, LLC-$139,800;• Jim’s Welding Service-$ 214,000;• J and J Custom Fire Inc.

‘Unwinding’ the Gilmour project

Kingfisher Public Schools continued its “unwinding” process this month in regards to the major renovation project that’s been halted at Gilmour Elementary School.The board of education on Monday heard from Jon Wells, a project manager for Joe D.

York promoted at KFD

Kingfisher Fire Department Chief Ryan Gibson recently announced a promotion within the department.Dakota York saw his title bumped from firefighter to lieutenant.York was sworn in by Gibson during a ceremony last Wednesday.
