Today, Roman Orlovskyy, bottom left, and his camera are chronicling the horror and devastation of the ongoing Russian invasion of his Ukrainian homeland. But in response to inquiries from his Kingfisher host family, John and Jody Gooden, and his former KHS photography teacher Dr. A.J. Johnson, Orlovskyy remains optimistic, determined and proud of his president and fellow countrymen. These photos are all his, and include his family home, bottom center, after a bomb blast.
