KHS choir earns high mark in national festival

Kingfisher High School’s choir in April participated in the WorldStrides Virtual Festival, a national festival with international attendees. More than 150 ensembles participated. Kingfisher’s choir received a Gold 3rd at the festival. Gold is the highest rating bracket, equivalent to receiving a superior rating and the crème de la crème of participating ensembles. “It was a great way to finish off a fantastic year,” said Kingfisher vocal director Diann Magnus. Taking part in the festival were, from left, Olivia Reyes, Raechel Evans, Charlie Johnson, Katie Beecher, Elijah Johnson, Wayde Barrios, Shelbey Osterholt, Rylee Trent, Jayden Shaver, Zaylynn Lopez, Briana McConnell and Macy Harrison.
