Dennis Allen Forbes
Dennis Allen Forbes was born Sept. 7, 1954, to Albert and Trula Jones Forbes in Kingfisher and passed on to Glory Sept. 21, 2019. He was 65.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 26, at Kingfisher First United Methodist Church officiated by Pastor Patrick McPherson. Burial will follow at Kingfisher Cemetery under the direction of Cordry-Gritz Funeral Home, Hennessey.
Dennis attended Kingfisher High School. He was a hard worker, working in the oil field on rigs and as a truck driver the majority of his life.
Dennis married the love of his life, Glenda, March 7, 1985. Their love stood the test of time, hardship, new blended family, sickness and whatever life threw their way.
But with the trials came a bond that nothing could ever break and a love stronger than most have ever seen.
He was a loving, supportive and caring father. He loved all his children very much.
He had a love of cars, music, his family and especially his grandchildren.
Dennis is survived by his love, Glenda of the home; son Paul Compton and wife Christen of Piedmont; son Brandon Forbes and wife Regina of Grand Island, Neb.; daughter Brandy Compton of El Reno; daughter Amanda Wiggins and husband Aaron of Fay; and son Bobby Compton and wife Miranda of Midland, Texas; his pride and joy of his heart, his grandchildren, Skyler, Alexandria (Alex), Austin, Emma, Gage and wife Emily, Elizabeth (Sissy), Brittany, Anthony, Andrew, Annalee, Adaleigh, Brandon, Nicholas, Parker, Kai, Samantha (Sami), Chason and great-grandson on the way, Weston; brothers Duane Forbes and wife Peggy of Pratt, Kan., and Jake Forbes and wife Wanda of Harlingen, Texas; and many nieces, nephews, and family.
Dennis was preceded in death by his parents, niece Brenda and many aunts and uncles.
