Gertrude “Trudy” Wells, 86, of Kingfisher, died Sept. 5, 2019, at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center in Enid.

Trudy was born Sept. 10, 1932, in Belgrade, Minn., to William Wiebe and Louise (Scheffraneck) Wiebe. She was the third of five children, to include Henry, Helen, Bob and Carmen.

When she was 16, the family moved to Kingfisher where Trudy completed her high school education.

She met and married Dale Wells in 1952. They raised their three children in the Dover area while farming and raising registered Angus cattle.

Trudy was an avid sports fan. She enjoyed watching basketball, football and golf.

Her greatest sports love was the Oklahoma City Thunder and she never missed a game.

She also loved working in her flower gardens and was an excellent cook and baker.

Most of all, she was a loving and patient mother who adored her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She will be greatly missed by all her family.

Trudy is survived by son Tom (Merridee) of Hamilton, Texas; daughter Linda Lund (Paul Buehler) of San Antonio, Texas; Roslynn (Greg) Terrell of Dover; grandchildren Zach Wells and Wade Wells of Thedford, Neb.; Jake (Bekah) Terrell of Whitesboro, Texas; and great-grandchildren Brynleigh Terrell and Tucker Terrell.

Trudy was preceded in death by sister Carmen, husband Dale, parents William and Louise, brothers Henry and Bob, and sister Helen.
