    VETERAN — LeRoy Krittenbrink

OnSunday,Sept.29,2019, LeRoy Krittenbrink, loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away at the age of 84.

LeRoy was born Jan. 29, 1935, in Kingfisher to George and Mary Krittenbrink.

LeRoy attended St. Gregory’s in Shawnee. He then joined the military and was honorably discharged in 1957.

Following his time in the military, LeRoy was married to Bernice Krittenbrink on Oct. 22, 1959, and they raised three daughters, Karen, Connie, Vicki, and one son, Doug.

LeRoy worked for Pioneer Telephone for 36 years and retired in January 1997. He also spent many years farming and enjoyed spending time out at the farm.

Following his retirement, he spent time traveling with Bernice and enjoying his family.

He was a kind and loving man who cherished his family and friends. His infectious laughter and bright spirit will be dearly missed.

LeRoy was preceded in death by his parents, George Peter and Mary (Mueggenborg-Osterholt) Krittenbrink, as well as his son Doug Lee Krittenbrink.

He is survived by his wife Bernice (Kuntz) Krittenbrink; his daughters Karen (Randy) Swyden, Connie (Tory) Gubler, and Vicki (Randy) Mowdy; his grandchildren Taylor Gubler, Eric (Chelsea) Mowdy, Ashley (Joseph) Hollowell, Trevor Mowdy, Whitney Swyden, Paige Gubler and MacKenzie Swyden; and great-grandchildren Hunter, Ethan and Baby Mowdy on the way.

The wake service was 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 2, at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Kingfisher. A funeral mass will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 3, at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church.
