On Sunday, Sept. 8, 2019, Lois Matti, loving wife of Junior Matti, passed away at the age of 89 at Cimarron Nursing Center.

Lois was born Aug. 12, 1930, in Fay, and was raised in the Fay-Thomas communities.

A longtime resident of Kingfisher, she attended the First United Methodist Church, and worked as an offset press operator for Kingfisher Office Supply before her retirement.

For many years she cared for her mother and they traveled the country visiting family in many states including Idaho, West Virginia, Alabama, California and Texas.

Lois was a gifted artist who enjoyed painting landscapes and portraits. She also enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, fishing and gardening.

Her husband, Junior, preceded her in death in 2005. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Nora Jackson McGaugh; grandson, Delton McGaugh; six sisters and four brothers. › ›Lois is survived by children Elaine Gooden of Guthrie, Doug McGaugh of Kingfisher, Paul Baker, also of Kingfisher; and grandchildren Glen Allen Gooden, Jesse Good-en, Alex Baker, Jace Baker and Kami Baker. ››Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church.

Graveside service for Lois will be 10 a.m. Saturday at the Kingfisher Cemetery with Pastor Debbie Burpo officiating.  

Services are under the direction of Huber-Benson Funeral Home, El Reno.
