Okarche knocked down 10 3-pointers Tuesday in winning its fourth straight game.

Hunter Mueggenborg, Wyatt Pinkerton and Jett Mueggenborg made three treys apiece in the Warriors’ 76-30 home win over Coyle.

Ranked sixth in Class A, Okarche improved to 4-1 with the victory.

The Warriors dominated nearly every aspect of the game, including the shooting from beyond the arc.

They were 10 of 24 for the game while Coyle made just 2 of 16 in its season opener.

Hunter Mueggenborg went 3 of 4 from long range as part of his game-high 19 points.

Jett Mueggenborg scored 16 while Pinkerton added 11.

That trio also combined for 20 rebounds as Okarche won the battle of the boards by a 58-22 margin.

Twenty-oneofOkarche’s rebounds were on the offensive end, including six by Caden Schieber, who had 12 overall.

Those rebounds led to 22 second-chance points by Okarche, which got out to a 23-10 lead in the first quarter.

The lead continue to steadily grow as the Warriors outscored Coyle 37-8 over the next 16 minutes.

Lady Warriors start sweep with dominant win

A second straight win got Okarche above .500 for the first time this season.

The Lady Warriors dominated Coyle early and often Tuesday in a 71-23 home win.

After starting the season 1-2 with losses to Lomega (No. 1 in Class B) and Preston (will be ranked in 2A when those are released), Okarche is now 3-2.

Class A’s sixth-ranked Lady Warriors pounced on their guests early with a 24-6 run in the first quarter.

Jalie Rother scored 10 in the quarter while Emma Stover added six.

Okarche didn’t let up and outscored Coyle 22-0 in the second quarter.

Rother added seven more to lead to her 18 points.

Scout Payne, who knocked down four 3-pointers, also scored 18 for the Lady Warriors.

Stover finished her night with nine points, as did Jadyn Rother.

Coyle, playing for the first time this season, committed 33 turnovers. The Lady Jackets were led by Nakyah McLaurin’s 13 points.
