Braggs holds off Longhorns

Ninth-ranked Braggs held off Dover Thursday night, ending the Longhorns’ best season in a decade in the area tournament.

Braggs built a double-digit lead early, then clung to a 37-32 victory in a Class B area consolation quarterfinal at Henryetta.

Dover chipped away at a 14-point deficit, but couldn’t complete the comeback.

The Longhorns cut it to the three points with a Nathan Cohee 3-pointer with four seconds remaining, but Braggs was able to inbound the ball - after two timeouts - and make two free throws to seal the win.

Dover ended the year with a 20-10 record.
