The Dover Longhorns avenged one of their losses while pulling off a mild upset in the quarterfinals.

Lucas Conrady made two free throws with 22 seconds left, then the Longhorns got a late stop to knock off fourth-seeded Garber, 37-35, in the Skeltur Conference Tournament in Enid.

Garber defeated Dover 53-47 on the Longhorns’ home court on Dec. 12.

The Wolverines took a 15-14 lead after the first quarter, but didn’t score more than nine points in a quarter the rest of the way.

Dover tied it up by halftime, then took a 30-26 lead into the fourth.

Casen Buck’s 3-pointer midway through the fourth put the Longhorns up 35-29.

The Wolverines hit consecutive 3-pointers to eventually tie the game before Conrady hit the game-winning free throws.

Conrady led Dover with 13 points while Buck scored nine.

Nathan Cohee added eight and Luis Valles seven.

Dover (11-6) advanced to play top-seeded Drummond in Friday’s semifinal.

The Lady Longhorns stayed undefeated with their third win over Cimarron this season.

This one came in the opening round of the Skeltur Conference Tournament.

Class B’s top-ranked team got up big early then went on cruise control in a 53-23 victory at the Stride Bank Center.

The first quarter saw Dover lead 23-3. It was 39-6 by halftime as Cimarron had just two field goals.

Rylee Buck spurred the early start with all 11 of her points in the first quarter.

Karlee Harviston added seven in the frame and finished with 15.

Katelyn Harviston scored eight of her 12 in the second quarter.

Dover played Pond Creek-Hunter in the semifi nals.

Yale Tournament

Both Hennessey teams made their way into the semifinal round with comfortable quarterfinal wins.

The top-seeded Eagles won their fifth straight by downing Olive 89-33.

Thirteen different Hennessey players scored as Hennessey led 34-2 after a quarter and 55-11 by halftime.

James Sims led all scorers with 19 points. He had 13 in the first quarter alone.

Jael Torres scored all eight of his points in the first quarter.

Brandon Rodriguez managed 13 of his 18 points in the third quarter.

The Eagles also got 11 points from Camdyn Richardson and nine from Garett Vinson.

They were set to play Salina in the semifinals.

The Lady Eagles were set to play top-seeded Frontier in the semifinals after downing Olive 50-21.

Like the boys, the Lady Eagles got on top of their foe early and led 16-2 after a quarter.

They pushed it to 26-4 by halftime.

Kadee Meeker hit two treys and scored 10 points in that first quarter.

She led all scorers with 19 points.

Emma Copeland added 10 points.

The win put Hennessey into a semifinal for the second time this season.

Cashion County Line

The Cashion Wildcats played their fourth consecutive team ranked in the top-eight of their respective class on Thursday.

After losses to Okarche, Hennessey and Seiling, the Wildcats got the win they needed in downing Varnum 53-45 in the quarterfinals of the Cashion County Line Tournament.

The Wildcats steadily built a lead on Class B’s eighth-ranked team then held them off in the fourth quarter.

The victory advanced them to the semifinals… where they were set to face yet another top-eight team.

This time it was top-seeded Oklahoma Christian School, which is No. 1 in 3A.

Against Varnum, Cashion staked a seven-point halftime lead, then pushed it to 14 points through three quarters.

The Whippets shot a better percentage than Cashion (33 to 29), but the home team outscored its guests 27-3 from beyond the arc.

Anthony Wilburn made four of those treys for his team-high 12 points. Drake Woody added nine points.

Carson Gump had 13 rebounds in the game to go with his four points. The Cashion girls are also into the semifinals after downing Oklahoma Christian School 68-31.

The win snapped a twogame losing skid for the Lady Wildcats, both to topeight teams as well.

Seeded second in the tournament, Cashion staked a 20-point halftime lead then outscored OCS 20-6 in the third quarter.

Lauren Jenkins led all scorers with 25 points.

She sank five 3-pointers on the night.

Megan Shafer added 19 points while Reese Williams scored nine.

Cashion played Perry in Friday’s semifinals.

Cherokee Strip Conference Lomega’s quest for a ninth consecutive conference tournament title wasn’t challenged on the first day.

The Lady Raiders downed Burlington 65-10 to open the tournament being held at Pioneer High School.

Burlington was scoreless in the first quarter and had just two points at halftime.

Abby Swart, the reigning tournament MVP, nailed four 3-pointers and scored all 14 of her points in the first half.

Aliana Lawson added 12 points.

Hadley Ott and Bree Yost scored eight apiece as Lomega won its 17th straight game.

Like the girls, the Lomega boys are also the top seed and had no problems moving into the semifinals.

They defeated Burlington 79-41 on Thursday.

As they’ve shown capable to do, the Raiders had a major outburst in a quarter.

This time around, it was the second when they scored 38 points to open a 49-15 halftime lead.

Lance Yost scored 18 of those points in the quarter while Ben Marsh added another 11 and Chase Burton another seven points.

Yost led all scorers with 20 points.

Burton added 19 and Marsh scored 14.

Burlington scored 24 of its points in the fourth quarter.

The Raiders’ win was their third straight.

They played Kremlin- Hillsdale in the semifinals Friday while the Lady Raiders took on Medford.
