Donald Ray Yost, 82, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 24, 2024, at his home. He was born Oct. 4, 1941, in Kingfisher. He was the son of Allen and Myrl (Robinett) Yost. Donald attended Kingfi sher Public Schools and graduated from Kingfisher High School.

In 1962, Donald married Lou Ann (Eberhardt) Rother and of this marriage two sons, Randy and Rodney, were born.

Donald married Bonnie (Vaverka) on Aug. 24, 1978. They were married 39 years until Bonnie’s death in 2018.

Donald was a farmer and rancher.

He loved the brand John Deere. He enjoyed listening to Paul Harvey and was an avid fan of Donald Trump.

Donald loved harvest and wheat sowing and enjoyed watching his crops grow and raising stocker cattle.

He will be remembered for his up-front personality; he did not hold anything back.

Donald was preceded in death by his parents, Allen and Myrl Yost; his wife, Bonnie Yost; brother, Richard Yost; daughters-in law, Trisha Yost and Renee’ Lane.

He is survived by his sister, Carol Yost of Edmond; sons Randy Yost and wife Dyshia and Rodney Yost and wife Cheryl, Brent Hajek and wife Rhonda and Scott Hajek and wife Karel; grandchildren Alex Yost, Maegan and Spencer Struck, Morgan and Conner Fialkowski, Mason Yost, Jake Hajek and Anna, Kale and Lyndsay Hajek, and Raegan Hajek, Delissa Evans, and Rozlyn Cambron; and his great grandchild, Waylon Hajek.

A celebration of life will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 30, at the Sanders Funeral Chapel with burial to follow at the Kingfisher Cemetery. The viewing will be held from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday, Jan. 29, at Sanders Funeral Home.
