Prue hadn’t played a ranked team all season.

That streak stopped Saturday night and it didn’t go well.

Class B’s top-ranked Dover had no problems claiming a district title as it pummeled the visiting Lady Rockets 74-33.

The victory moved Dover into the winner’s bracket of this week’s regional, which begins Thursday against Olive in Calumet.

From there, the rest of the regional will be played in Okmulgee.

Prue came into the district final with 15 wins, including Friday night’s 57-25 elimination of Billings.

It was evident early on that Saturday wouldn’t go the same route.

The Lady Longhorns scored the game’s first 19 points and buried the visitors with relentless pressure.

Dover led 20-3 after a quarter and 46-8 by halftime.

Only one Lady Rocket - Braylee Reed - managed a field goal in the first two quarters.

Meanwhile, four different Dover players had at least two field goals in that same stretch and three of them had at least as many points as Prue.

A bulk of them came from Rylee Buck.

The junior guard had 16 of her game-high 23 points by halftime.

Karlee Harviston had 12 points and finished with 17.

Katelyn Harviston made good on 11 points by halftime and scored 19 by game’s end.

Reed led Prue with 20. The game featured the return of Joi Caldwell, who missed much of the second half of the season rehabbing a knee injury.

Caldwell didn’t score, but got the start and played in all four quarters.

Dover is now 24-2 on the season.
