Wesleyan Christian was able to keep a steady scoring pace.

Lomega’s was torrid to start, but fell off in the second half.

Steady won the race. The Raiders saw their season come to a close Thursday afternoon with a 57-52 defeat to No. 12 Wesleyan Christian in a Class B area consolation quarterfi nal in Enid.

Lomega led 21-14 after a quarter and 3427 at halftime, but only managed 18 points in the final two quarters.

“We just couldn’t make the shots like we did in the first half,” said coach Justin Edsall. “We got some good looks, but they just didn’t fall.”

Lance Yost tortured Wesleyan Christian in that first half with 19 points, but he was held scoreless in the second half.

The Mustangs’ Kael Siemers and Ty Cloud combined for 23 points in the second half to help mount the comeback.

Siemers finished with 21 and Cloud 20.

Yost led Lomega while Jaxson Snowden scored 10.

The Raiders, who finished 18-12, also got nine from Chase Burton, eight from Ben Marsh and six from Trevor Lentz.
