If there was a post-conference tournament championship letdown for the Okarche boys basketball team, it wasn’t evident on the court.

The Warriors grabbed Three Rivers Conference wins in back-to-back nights as they downed Thomas 75-47 at home on Friday and then Oklahoma Bible Academy 75-33 Saturday on the road.

Fast starts and unrelenting defensive pressure told the story of both nights.

The Warriors were up 23-1 on OBA after a quarter and continued to steadily build on the lead throughout.

Okarche forced 30 turnovers and scored 32 points off of them.

Jett Mueggenborg posted a double-double with 19 points and 12 rebounds.

The Warriors dominated that aspect as well as they out-rebounded OBA 40-25.

Easton Roby scored 13 points and added seven assists. Hunter Mueggenborg also had seven assists for the Warriors.

Okarche also got 12 points from Braxton Smith.

The lead was 27-12 over Thomas after just one quarter and the Warriors were up by 25 points at halftime.

This time they forced 31 turnovers, which led to 28 points.

Okarche pulled away despite making just 2 of 20 3-point shots.

The two makes came from Wyatt Pinkerton, who had 14 points and seven rebounds.

Jett Mueggenborg and Roby also had seven rebounds each as Okarche was plus-15 on the boards.

Jett Mueggenborg led the team with 22 points.

Caden Schieber also scored 14 while Hunter Mueggenborg added 13.

Okarche, ranked fifth in Class A, was 12-2 after Saturday’s win and had won seven straight games.

Lady Warriors go 1-1

Okarche couldn’t quite find the offense to pull off the upset.

The Lady Warriors held Oklahoma Bible Academy to its lowest scoring night of the season - by far - but still dropped a 34-30 road game Saturday in Enid.

The loss to Class A’s eighth-ranked team, which won the Three Rivers Conference Tournament a week earlier, snapped a threegame win streak for the Lady Warriors.

The last of those wins came the night before when Okarche handled Thomas 47-33 at home.

Okarche broke open a five-point game with a 17-8 run in the fourth quarter.

Katie Parham had four field goals and scored nine points in the frame while Jadyn Rother added six more. Rother had just one point entering the fourth.

Scout Payne led Okarche with 14 points.

She scored nine in the second when Okarche turned a two-point deficit into six-point halftime lead.

Parham finished with 13 points.

The Lady Warriors fell behind OBA by eight points at halftime.

However, they held the Lady Trojans to just 11 points the rest of the night, including three in the third quarter.

Okarche was within four entering the fourth, but went just 2 of 6 from the field in the fourth.

Parham led the team with 11 points while Rother scored 10.

Conley Cayot paced OBA with 12.
