The pumps that distribute water to the city of Kingfi sher at the water plant located just north of town were under 20 feet of water Friday morning, due to a burst chlorine pipe. It required a team effort of dozens of city employees and community volunteers to restore water back to the town in only 12 hours time. The pumps are now back operating at full capacity. Hennessey’s FOL Pumpkin Patch to open this Friday south of the library

More than 1,000 pumpkins will fill the grassy area next to the Hennessey Public Library Friday afternoon in time for 3:30-6 p.m. sales by members of the Friends of the Library.After Friday, the Pumpkin Patch will be open on Saturdays from noon-6 p.m. and Monday-Friday 3:30-6 p.m.
