Anthony Schwarz is administered the oath of office for county commissioner during a Tuesday morning ceremony at the Kingfisher County Courthouse. Associate District Judge Lance Schneiter officiated the swearing-in of Schwarz, who won election to the District 3 unexpired term last week.

Pitts edges Riedlinger for sheriff
As Aaron Pitts made his way through the communities of Kingfisher County to campaign for sheriff in recent months, he said there was one consistent message.“People kept saying they felt there needed to be change,” Pitts said.

Kingfisher Educational Foundation is once again working with Kingfisher Public Schools to provide mentors to students.Students With A Role Model (SWARM) is entering its second year...and is expanding.Last year mentors worked with students through the junior high.
ODWC commissioners to hold their September meeting at Cedar Gate
The Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation will hold its regularly-scheduled Commission meeting next week in Kingfi sher County.The meeting is 9 a.m. Monday, Sept. 9, at The Cedar Gate, located on County Road N2740 west of Kingfi sher.Commissioners will meet in the Event Legacy Barn.
