Schwarz Asphalt bid approved for road work in 2 county districts

The $5,289,731.61 low bid from Schwarz Asphalt to do paving work in Districts 1 and 3 received approval from Kingfisher County commissioners Monday at their weekly meeting.The District 1 projects totaled $2,962,789.61 and the District 3 projects totaled $2,326,942.

Forty-five members of the Oklahoma Wehrenberg family met July 27 at the Loyal Evangelical Church.Chas Wehrenberg immigrated from Germany in 1868, settling in Elk Grove, Ill., where he met his wife and raised his family of seven children.

Parents at Hennessey’s municipal pool on North Mitchell Road alerted staff about the strong odor of gas at about 4:45 p.m. Monday afternoon.That’s when Town Administrator Tiffany Tillman said she notified Oklahoma Natural Gas, “but I called 911 first,” she told The Times & Free Press.
