Bridge replacement starts May 28

District 1 County Commissioner Jeff Moss confirmed Thursday that work on the Robberts Street Bridge over Uncle John Creek will start May 28, weather permitting. Moss said the first step will be tearing out the old bridge, pictured above.

The following traffic accidents have been or are being investigated by the Kingfisher Police Department: February 6, 1:43 p.m. - At S.H. 33 and 13th Street.Vicky Hendricks, 61, Kingfisher, driving a 2016 Jeep Wrangler, was eastbound on S.H. 33, near the intersection of 13th Street.

Cruis’n Oklahoma’s Facebook page shows that 838 members have responded they’ll be in Hennessey this Sunday, May 19, for what has become an annual event for the car group.Car club members will start their cruise from Blanchard High School at “around” 10:30 a.m.

There are signs the financial audit of the Town of Hennessey may be completed.“We have not heard anything from their office since the middle of March,” Town Administrator Tiffany Tillman wrote in her April monthly report to the Hennessey Board of Trustees.
