County receives season’s 1st snow

A dusting of snow greeted Kingfisher County residents Sunday morning.Ice-frozen doors on vehicles parked outside overnight indicated a splash of freezing rain before the snow.The Kingfisher Mesonet site showed .03 inch of moisture from the season’s first snow.

Resident offers solution to county dilemma

District 2 County Commissioner Ray Alan Shimanek reported Monday that a county resident has offered to provide a repeater tower to support county radios at no cost to the county.Acceptance of the offer was not on the meeting agenda so no official action was taken.

Deatherage, Reagan named November Junior Lions

Kingfisher High School seniors Jake Reagan and Amy Deatherage are the November 2023 Junior Lions.The two were guests at recent meetings of the Kingfi sher Lions Club.Reagan is the son of Jason and Carma Reagan.
