The Kingfisher Police Department has investigated or responded to the following reports:April 24 - Obstructing officer, assault and battery and resisting executive officer.Lieutenant Dustin Brodrick responded to a report of assault at Trail Creek Wellness, 1000 Hospital Circle.

FRAME BY FRAME – Progress is showing at the new soccer and junior high football locker room being built at the south end of the high school campus. Framework began going up the week after Mother’s Day and was largely completed by the end of that week.

Four Kingfisher County towns and Kingfisher County had gains and two county towns showed losses compared to May 2022 in the May 2023 sales tax report distributed by the Oklahoma Tax Commission.Kingfisher, Hennessey, Dover and Okarche all showed increases.

Kingfisher County 4-H Food Showdown and Cloverbud Cupcake Wars was held May 17 at the county fairgrounds.There were 17 Cloverbuds who participated in the Cupcake Wars.The Cloverbuds decorated cupcakes as insects. They were able to name the cupcakes and tell a little story about them.

One of Kingfisher’s most beloved basketball coaches will soon receive one of the state’s highest honors in the sport.Carl Nick has been selected for induction into the Oklahoma Basketball Coaches Hall of Fame this summer.

Kingfisher city commissioners on Monday could approve an operating budget for the 202324 fiscal year.The commission is holding a special meeting beginning at 5:30 p.m. at City Hall.
