Some seven dozen caps and thousands of pieces of confetti on Saturday flew into the air of the All-Purpose Building.The caps were thrown and the confetti was shot out of mini-canons as Kingfisher High School’s Class of 2023 celebrated its graduation.

City OKs $18.7 million budget for FY-24

City commissioners on Monday unanimously passed an $18.7 million budget for the 2023-24 fiscal year.The budget was approved during a special meeting, which served as the Kingfisher City Commission’s May meeting.

Arbor Day Addition for KGSA

In celebration of this year’s Arbor Day, Kingfisher Tree Board, in conjunction with the Kingfisher Girls Softball Association, planted a tree at the Briscoe Softball Complex replacing one which was originally installed in 2006 in honor of Janet Snow.

RUPP ‘WINNING’ AT MAKO CONFERENCE – Kingfisher Chamber of Commerce Director Shauna Rupp recently attended the MAKO Conference. Chambers from Missouri, Arkansas, Kansas and Oklahoma (MAKO) gathered in Branson, Mo., for the event. The state of Oklahoma had a record representation of 78 Chambers.

KPS staff members recognized for service at end-of-year meeting

A number of Kingfisher Public Schools staff members were recognized last Friday at an end-of-year luncheon held at the high school cafeteria.Employees were rewarded for hitting years of service milestones and other honors were distributed as well.
