The employment of the majority of Kingfisher Public Schools’ administrative staff for next school year will be decided this week.Kingfisher Board of Education will hold its regular April meeting on Monday.

SHAWN WALKER has served on the board of education for 10 years. He graduated from Dover in 1987. He and his wife Julie (Perdue) have two children, Kristina and Dylan, both of whom graduated from Dover. Kristina teaches kindergarten at Dover and Dylan will soon graduate from UCO.

JASON KROENER graduated from Okarche, earned a bachelor’s in marketing from OSU and later an MBA. Work led him to Missouri and Texas before returning to Okarche where he now serves CHS as the senior director of operations for Oklahoma and west Texas. Jason also serves on two ag industry boards.

MITCH MASSEY attended Kingfisher Public Schools from fifth grade through his graduation in 1988. He also holds a B.S. in construction technology from the University of Central Oklahoma and owns a construction business.

DANA REESE is a 1988 graduate of KHS and earned a bachelor’s in accounting from OU in 1992. She moved to Okarche nearly 30 years ago upon marrying her husband, Steve and they have two children, Stephanie and Bryce.

MIKE KRITTENBRINK has served on the board for just over a year and is seeking his first full term. A 1997 OHS graduate, he earned a bachelor’s in mechanical engineering from OSU in 2002. He’s the mechanical engineering manager at Nortek Air Solutions–Temtrol.

Work on the Hennessey Public Schools’ two-stage drainage and parking projects on the east side of Mitchell Road are still on schedule to start June 1 and will continue into August.

Kingfisher High School seniors Caden Kitchens and Natalie Dick are the March 2023 Junior Lions.The two were guests at recent meetings of the Kingfisher Lions Club.Kitchens is the son of Stacy and Coni Kitchens.

Kingfisher County Court Clerk Lisa Markus issued marriage licenses recently to the following couples: March 16: Eddie Duran Ortiz, 42, and Theresa Jo Bonds, 44, both of Kingfi sher March 17: Bryce Montgomery Cobb, 23, and Sophie Eryn Stitt, 22, both of Wanette.

An error was made on the article on Loyal’s town election that appeared in the Wednesday Times and Free Press.Candidates up for election are trustees James Savage and Freda Faulkner and Town Treasurer Dorothy Glazier.Glazier was erroneously identified as town clerk in the Wednesday article.
