County OKs handbook changes

Storm system brings very little rain, but cooler temps

A light drizzle of rain fell on Kingfisher most of Sunday.While the rain provided only .07 inch of moisture, according to the Mesonet station west of Kingfisher, the cloud cover kept the temperature low throughout the day, a relief from searing 100 and 100-plus degree readings for much of August.

OG&E outage leaves city in dark Sunday

Kingfisher City manager Dave Slezickey said the city lost electrical transmission from OG&E about 6 p.m. Sunday, leaving residents in the dark for several hours.“OMPA (Oklahoma Municipal Power Authority) didn’t get anything definitive from OG&E other than crews were working on it,” he said.

Traffic accident

The following traffic accident is being investigated by the Kingfisher Police Department: August 7, 6:11 p.m. At 1215 S. Main St.Kaden Lehr, 20, Kingfi sher, driving a 2006 Ford Mustang, was parked in a parking spot facing southeast in the United Supermarket parking lot.
